Зарубежная компания представила восстановленные пикапы компании Chevrolet. Все работы по реставрации машин и их модернизации были завершены еще в начале этого года. Сейчас же, известный комик Джей Лено более подробно рассказывает о каждом из них.
Надо отдать должное таким компаниям, как Rtech Fabrications, специалисты которых готовы превратить старые грузовики в современных «монстров», так сказать, вдохнуть в них новую жизнь. Ателье из Айдахо (США), закончило работы над двумя пикапами бренда Chevrolet, которые были произведены в прошлом веке, причем сделали они это еще в начале 2019 года. Сейчас же мы их показываем более подробно потому, что известный американский комик Джей Лено решил рассказать про каждый из них в рамках своей видео-экскурсии.
Господин Лено смог пообщаться с тем человеком, который собственно и стоит за созданием этих монстров.
Речь идет о Рэндалле Робертсоне, который является президентом компании Rtech Fabrications и владеет одним из тех пикапов, про которых и снято это видео. Машина называется blue 66 Chevy.

Машина также имеет рабочее название Ponderosa. Инженеры компании заново создали кабину экипажа для пикапа Chevrolet C30 1966 года, при этом были использованы грузовики с обычными кабинами. Это потому, что Chevrolet на самом деле никогда не производил такое транспортное средство в те времена. Ателье Rtech Fabrications решило буквально разрезать грузовик пополам и создать специальную кабину. В итоге, грузовик может похвастать колесной базой в 4 445 мм, а его буксировочная способность увеличилась до 3 764 кг.
Другой проект ателье был основан на грузовике Chevrolet образца 1972 года и получил аналогичные изменения. Названный Duke, это также однотонный грузовик с увеличенным дорожным просветом, и, как и Ponderosa, он использует турбодизель Cummins для увеличения мощности.
Ателье Rtech Fabrications наладит производство таких пикапов для своих клиентов. Согласно видео, цены, как правило, начинаются с отметки в 150 000 долларов или 9 265 140 рублей, но с каждым автомобилем, изготовленным по индивидуальному заказу в соответствии со спецификациями покупателя, окончательная цена может немного отличаться. 
Не так давно, наше издание писало о том, что 400-сильный Chevy Corvette C5 имеет расход топлива всего 5,88 литров по шоссе. Несмотря на то, что у этого спортивного купе под капотом находится мощный мотор LS1 V8, он может похвастать достаточно демократичным расходом топлива по трассе – всего 5,88 литров на каждые 100 км.

Among other things, double 5165 Series dampers from Bilstein and, here too, countless components specially made for this vehicle are installed. The paintwork of the body is in the particularly eye-catching «GenRock’s light green» and was carried out by the specialists from Auto Paint Plus hours of toil in Post Falls, Idaho. Even the inside of the truck bed is immaculately painted and there was fine ash wood from Bed Wood and Parts. Here, too, you can see the attention to detail, because, for example, the visible screw connection of the wheel housings was deliberately removed. And the engine is similarly exclusive.
The 550 hp Cummins diesel coupled to a five-speed automatic is of course also brand new and, for example, there was a powder-coated valve cover in high-contrast green from «Spectrum Powder Coating» (Hayden, Idaho). And the key data are really intense. The 5,9-liter engine from a 1996 Ram got a new camshaft, a K&N air filter, a manifold and optimized turbochargers for an output of 558 hp and 1.763 Newton meters. And the front and rear headlights are also typical Restomod. They have a classic look from the 60s and 70s, but are equipped with state-of-the-art LED technology.

Incidentally, it continues with a handmade drive shaft and a special 227-liter tank is installed. And so striking the appearance on the outside, as conspicuous it is also in the cabin. Again, here is solid everything painted in body color and even the leather interior, which was handcrafted, had to be light blue. only the beautiful instrument cluster and the flap from the glove compartment try to set a small contrast with a white surface. And modern technology is also hidden here. The retro-look radio can be paired with the smartphone via Bluetooth. Rtech Fabrications Incidentally, it has specialized in just such vehicles and the website of the tuner shows even more copies like one K50 Chevy CREW-CAB (TENSEMA17) from 1972, which is no less spectacular.
